Your Oil Painting creates custom hand-painted oil paintings based on customer-uploaded photos and order instructions. This policy explains how custom orders are handled and what customers should understand before placing an order.
Custom-Made Artwork
Each painting is made specifically for your order. Our artists use your uploaded photo as a reference and create a hand-painted oil painting on canvas. The final artwork is an artistic interpretation, not a printed copy or exact photographic reproduction.
Photo Requirements
Please upload a clear reference photo with enough detail for painting. Photos with good lighting, clear facial features, and minimal blur usually produce better results. If the photo is too blurry, too dark, or unsuitable for painting, we may contact you to request a better image before starting the artwork.
Order Instructions
Customers may provide special instructions such as background preference, color mood, details to keep, or details to simplify. We will consider your instructions during the painting process, but the final result may still include reasonable artistic interpretation by the artist.
Hand-Painted Differences
Because each piece is painted by hand, the final artwork may differ slightly from the original photo in color, lighting, brushstrokes, texture, composition, and small details. These differences are part of the handmade nature of custom oil paintings.
Preview Before Shipping
Before shipping, we may send a preview photo of the finished painting for confirmation. If you have a concern related to the original order instructions, please contact us before the artwork is shipped. Once the artwork has been approved or shipped, changes may no longer be possible.
Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled only before painting has started. Once the painting process begins, the order is considered custom production and cannot usually be cancelled or refunded for change of mind.
Use of Artwork Samples
During checkout, customers may choose whether we are allowed to use the finished artwork as a sample on our website, social media, or advertising materials. We will not share your original photo, personal information, or order details without permission.
